With weight gain over the start of the pandemic, the smaller things in life became more difficult… like bending over to tie my shoes.
But the real shocker was playing tag with my grandson on the beach, I realized… I could no longer run… not even for 15’.
Not that I was ever a runner or even professed to be one now, but I made up my mind then and knew it was time to get off the couch and back to Fit Body!
Today I feel as if I am heading for the healthiest time of my life as I have headed into my 60s.
I have now re-aligned my lifestyle to accommodate my fitness as retirement is the best job I’ve ever had… I plan on keeping it for as long as possible which means building strength and stamina for the years to come!

If you carry an extra 30 lbs, the chronic pain is so much worse because you are carrying it mentally as well.
I have disc degeneration in my neck and I suffer chronic pain. I also have chronic knee pain. I thought going to a gym would cause me more pain. I found that the exercises can be modified so we can build strength in order to protect the joints in the long run.
I’m going to have to have a knee replacement eventually and I want to be as fit and healthy as possible before the surgery. I decided to focus on my health rather than what was going on around us.
I followed the nutrition offered during the spring challenge and have continued to try to make smart food choices without depriving myself.
The chronic pain is still here. My knees will need to be replaced when that can happen.
But honestly what keeps me coming back is the friends I’ve made.I love the comradery and the supportive atmosphere. I also feel a responsibility to lead by example for the new members.
I want to be here when I’m 80! I also want to accomplish 1000 sessions!

The number of participants per sessions is very limited to ensure our personal trainers can give you the personal attention you need to achieve great results with the program.
After a few months at Forever Fit, my energy level began to increase and although I haven’t lost a great amount of weight, my body is more toned and clothes fit so much better.
I could walk up steps carrying groceries, carry a jug of cat litter in each hand, start and cut grass with a push mower, get up and down from the floor without the aid of another person or object, etc.
The encouragement and motivation here is great! It makes exercising so much easier. Five years and 2 knee replacements later I’m still enjoying at least 3 Forever Fit workouts per week, mainly via zoom, which has been a great addition to this program!
I’ll be 81 this summer and still able to maintain an active life living in the country. This entails getting the garbage and recycling bins out the lane to the road every week, as well as looking after a huge house, yard, flower beds and 4 cats!
Just over a year ago, I became interested in virtual walking challenges and have been all over the world! I can walk for 90 minutes or more outdoors and am gradually building up to 30 minutes on my newest piece of exercise equipment, a treadmill!
I look forward to the workouts as they are fun to do and everyone is so positive and friendly! Forever Fit exercises have continued to help increase my strength and stamina.
I felt sluggish and slow before I started. I had difficulty standing back up if I knelt to the floor.
I just had my first grandchild and wanted to be able to play with them, carry them, and keep up with them. I wanted to stop feeling tired and dragged.
I am proud of how many times I have worked out each week (and want to!) and how well I am handling them. I like how they are making me feel – stronger and energetic.
The functional movements we do help me with my job by allowing me to do the motions I once could not without balance. My quality of life is better.
